What is back stitching?

Back stitching is basically the outline of your cross stitch. It brings out the details of your project and gives it a nice finished look. On your design, you’ll see back stitching indicated by a think line. To back stitch, come up through the fabric where your design shows a line and down through the fabric according to the design. If the line is very long, consider completing the line in multiple stitches.
