What do I do when my thread is too short to continue stitching?

When you can’t continue stitching because your thread is too short, you will need to tack down the thread to ensure your stitches don’t unravel.

  1. Complete the last stitch you are able to.

  2. Turn your fabric around so that you’re looking at the back of your cross stitch.

  3. Use your still-threaded needle and run it through at least 5 of the threads in the back of the design to tack it down.

  4. Cut the thread with scissors.
